Drivers are facing delays of around an hour after a collision saw a lorry overturn on a motorway.
National Highways said all lanes of the M4 westbound between junction 18 (Bath) and 19 of the M32 have now reopened after being closed earlier.
The roads agency said there is approximately five miles of congestion heading towards the scene.
It added that drivers should allow extra time if travelling.
