M25 closed at Maple Cross, Hertfordshire, after collision

Rush hour drivers have been warned of lengthy delays after a collision involving four cars on a motorway.

The anti-clockwise M25 was closed at the junction 17 Maple Cross Interchange, in Hertfordshire, at about 05:35 BST.

National Highways said four miles (6.4km) of congestion had created 45-minute waits for motorists.

“Please allow extra journey time if travelling in the area this morning,” it posted on X.
