Louth: Murder investigation after disappearance of boy

A murder investigation is under way after the disappearance of an eight-year-old boy in County Louth in the Republic of Ireland.

Kyran Durnin was reported missing from his home in Drogheda on 30 August.

Gardaí (Irish police) began a missing persons inquiry but have been unable to locate Kyran or identify any information on his whereabouts.

Gardaí now believe that Kyran is missing presumed dead.
