Livingston relegation confirmed after Kilmarnock win

Livingston have been relegated from the Scottish Premiership after one season back in the top flight following Kilmarnock’s 3-0 win over Dundee United.

The result leaves Marvin Bartley’s side 10 points adrift at the bottom with only three games remaining of the season.

Livingston had kept alive their slender survival hopes when they ended their 33-game run without a victory by beating St Mirren 2-0 away last weekend – only their second league win of the season and first since August.

But Friday’s 2-2 draw at home to Aberdeen – their sixth draw in nine matches – meant they were relying on United taking something at Rugby Park to retain a chance of catching Kilmarnock, who have now moved up to 10th.
