Lisburn: Teenager seriously injured in hit-and-run

An 18-year-old motorcyclist is being treated for serious injuries following a hit-and-run collision in Lisburn.

A silver vehicle struck the teenager at the junction of Moira Road and Ballycreen Drive at about 18:20 GMT on Saturday. The vehicle did not stop, police said.

The motorcyclist remains in hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone in the area at the time who witnessed the collision, or a silver vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner, to contact them.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or other footage,” Insp McCallion added.
