A man arrested over online threats against Lilian Seenoi-Barr – who is to become the first black mayor in Northern Ireland – has been released on bail.
The 30-year-old, who was arrested on Sunday, has been released pending further enquiries, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said.
He was questioned at a police station in Londonderry on suspicion of harassment, threats to kill and improper use of a public electronic communications network.
The PSNI previously said the threats are being treated as a racially-motivated hate crime.
