Lennon Miller’s father expects a bid for the Motherwell midfielder to come “if not this week, maybe next week”.

Motherwell drew 2-2 with Clyde on Saturday, winning the Premier Sports Cup group game bonus point by prevailing in the penalty shootout, without their 18-year-old Scotland international.

Lee Miller, who played for Aberdeen, Dundee United, Hearts and Scotland said his son’s injury is “not serious”.

“Hopefully, he’ll be back soon,” Miller senior told BBC Radio Scotland’s Sportsound.

“I think there will be a bid comes in, if not this week, maybe next week. There’s a lot of talk behind the scenes and the clubs are speaking together and we’ll see what happens.”
