Fiji forward Ben Nakubuwai has left Leigh Leopards with immediate effect to return to Australia .
The 28-year-old prop moved to Leigh in 2022 and made 44 appearances for the club, scoring three tries.
Nakubuwai played in their Championship Grand Final victory in 2022 and then as a substitute in their memorable Challenge Cup win at Wembley in August 2023.
“As a member of the cup-winning team his name will forever be remembered in Leigh’s folklore,” head of rugby Chris Chester told the club’s website, external.
