Exeter are awaiting to find out the severity of a suspected Achilles injury suffered by South African forward Kwenzo Blose.

The 28-year-old was helped from the field soon after coming on as a replacement in the 38-15 Prem win over Newcastle on Saturday.

The prop, who moved to the club from Stormers in 2024, was hurt 10 minutes after coming on in the second half.

“It doesn’t look good,” director of rugby Rob Baxter told BBC Sport.

“He’s a good player. He’s started to come through at the end of last season, he’s played a full part in all the games this season.

“It’s a blow for us, it’s a blow for him.

“It’s like anything now – we’ve just got to look after him, get him fit, get him every opportunity to get back on the field as soon as we can.”
