Kieffer Moore: Forward targeting Wrexham promotion and Wales World Cup double

Wrexham put their promotion push to one side this weekend as they host another of Moore’s former clubs, Ipswich Town, in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night (19:45 GMT).

Phil Parkinson’s men stunned Premier League Nottingham Forest in the third round and are targeting a spot in the fifth round for the first time in almost three decades.

It has ensured a significant amount remains at stake over the coming months, particularly for Moore.

Having helped Bournemouth and Ipswich reach the top-flight over recent years, few are better qualified than the former lifeguard when it comes to assessing a side’s hopes of promotion.

And Moore believes many of the qualities that were present during his successful periods with the Cherries and the Tractor Boys are on show at Wrexham.

“We’ve got a very good dressing room here and at Ipswich it was incredible to be a part of that and the dressing room was very good,” he explained.

“It’s just the atmosphere and the personalities around the place that can really push the place and you’ve got each other driving each other – it’s a great place to be around.”
