“It was very exciting, and I was a wee bit nervous, but it was really good.”

Ollie Smyth is a big rugby fan so when the opportunity arose for him to present the man of the match award at an Ulster Rugby match he jumped at the chance.

The seven-year-old has a rare, lifelong condition called cystinuria and underwent emergency surgery in February.

Ollie’s dad, Colin, said: “Kids are very good at bouncing back and he bounced back straight away.”
