Kew Gardens: New display showcases the sound of blossom

A new immersive experience at Kew Gardens, in south-west London, wants to give a voice to the blossom of spring.

Sounds of Blossom features special compositions by the Royal College of Music, inspired by the spring season and will be played for visitors around the garden’s blossom hotspots.

Experts at Kew say the spring blossoms are emerging earlier every year, so they are monitoring the longer-term trends to find out how much of the early flowering is due to climate change.
