Jordan Abdull: Hull FC half-back leaves weeks into three-year deal

Hull FC have confirmed that half-back Jordan Abdull has been released by mutual consent, just weeks into a three-year contract.

The 28-year-old agreed a deal to return to the club he started his career at, in June last year, having spent last season on loan at Catalans Dragons from Hull KR.

However, it was reported last week that he was leaving the Black and Whites and they have now confirmed he has gone.

“The club have taken the decision to release the player from the remainder of his contract at the MKM Stadium to allow him to explore opportunities elsewhere in the game,” they said in a statement., external

The England international made 54 appearances for Hull FC in his first spell between 2014 to 2018.

“That screams out to me that there is an ambition to get back into a strong position and I have a huge determination to be a part of that process.”
