Leigh Leopards have signed Papua New Guinea forward Jacob Alick-Wiencke on a three-year contract running to the end of the 2028 season.

Alick-Wiencke, 25, moves to England from Australian National Rugby League side Gold Coast Titans, where he had played for three seasons.

The second-row forward, who has won 10 caps for his country, increases the Papua New Guinea contingent at the club, which includes head coach Adrian Lam, his son Lachlan and hooker Edwin Ipape.

The Leopards finished third in Super League in 2025 but were beaten by neighbours Wigan Warriors in their play-off semi-final on Friday.

“I’ve been watching how the boys have gone these past few weeks and I’m excited to be joining the Leopards,” Alick-Wiencke told the club website., external
