Jack Leach: England spin bowler signs new two-year contract with Somerset

England spinner Jack Leach has signed a new two-year contract with Somerset.

The 33-year-old has 36 Test caps and has taken 126 wickets for his country at an average of 34.40.

Leach has spent his entire career at Somerset, having been born and raised in Taunton.

He has made 162 appearances across first class, List A and T20 formats, taking 466 wickets.

“Somerset is home and I feel very lucky to continue to represent the club I love,” he told the club’s website., external

“The support I’ve had from the club and the fans over the last 12 months whilst out injured has meant so much and I look forward to repaying that faith with performances on the pitch.”

Somerset are third in the County Championship Division One table.
