Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in a good condition after a successful operation on his prostate, his office says.
The 75-year-old has had a series of health issues in recent years, the latest being an operation to remove a benign enlarged prostate after a urinary tract infection.
Mr Netanyahu‘s office said he is fully conscious after his surgery at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Center finished “successfully”.
Justice Minister Yariv Levin, a close ally, has been serving as acting prime minister while the leader is out of action.
Earlier this year, Mr Netanyahu had surgery for a hernia and had a pacemaker fitted last year.

The prostate surgery carried out on Sunday forced a pause to a long-running corruption trial, the outcome of which is expected to play a defining role in shaping his legacy.
Mr Netanyahu denies charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.
The judges accepted a request from his lawyer to call off three days of testimony scheduled for the coming week.
The lawyer, Amit Hadad, had argued that the PM would be sedated for the procedure and hospitalised for “a number of days”.
Mr Netanyahu’s operation comes days after the Israeli military raided one of the last functioning hospitals in northern Gaza, arresting its director.
Israel has been at war with Hamas for more than 14 months since the 7 October attacks in which around 1,200 people were killed and 250 others abducted.
More than 45,400 Palestinians, over half of them women and children, have been killed and more than 108,000 others wounded, according to the Hamas-run Palestinian health ministry, which does not distinguish between civilians and combatants.
