BBCA investment and insurance broker in Dumfries has been arrested and charged in connection with fraud and embezzlement.
Police Scotland said the 69-year-old was due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court at a later date.
They added that they were continuing to make further inquiries and anyone with information should get in touch with them.
