Investigators to begin probe into light airplane death crash in Fife

Air accident investigators are beginning their probe into a plane crash in Fife which killed a 50-year-old pilot.

The man died after his light aircraft ditched into a field near Fife Airport at about 11:30 on Monday.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said a team of inspectors would visit the site to gather evidence as part of a safety investigation.

Police Scotland said no-one else was injured in the crash and inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
