Police have urged drivers to take extra care in icy conditions following two road crashes in the north east of Scotland.

Officers were called to a field in New Deer, Aberdeenshire, at about 08:30 after a bus came off the B9170 and got stuck on a grassy slope.

There were no passengers on the bus and the driver was not hurt.

Separately, one man was taken to hospital following a crash on the A950 near New Pitsligo at about 06:15.
