Hyron Andrews: Sale Sharks lock signs new one-year contract

Sale Sharks lock Hyron Andrews has agreed a new one-year contract to stay at the club for next season.

The South African joined Sale from Durban club Sharks towards the end of the 2023-24 campaign as injury cover for Jonny Hill and played in the Champions Cup quarter-final defeat by Toulouse.

Andrews, 29, impressed enough to earn a one-year deal for last season where he made 11 appearances.

“I was a little nervous about coming to Sale because it was the first time I’d played overseas, but from the first day I arrived, I’ve absolutely loved it,” he told the club website, external.
