On Tuesday 1 April 2025, it isn’t just the start of a new month, it’s also April Fools’ Day.

The first of April has been celebrated as a day of pranks and practical jokes for nearly 200 years now.

BBC journalist Lena Mohammed took to the streets of Cardiff to find out what pranks people have played on others, or had played on them, over the years.

One respondent said she avoids believing “anything” until midday.
