Harry Styles stalker jailed after sending him 8,000 cards

Brazilian national Carvalho sent the 30-year-old singer handwritten letters while in the UK as well as ordering a series of cards for him online which were sent to his address, the court had previously heard.

Of the 8,000 cards sent, some were wedding cards and two of the letters were hand-delivered to Mr Styles’ address, prosecutors had said.

Court documents showed Carvalho had been staying in a backpacking hostel in Earl’s Court in west London, after arriving in the UK in December.

Her family did not know she had travelled to the country, the court was told.

Carvalho admitted a charge of stalking involving serious alarm or distress at Harrow Crown Court, sitting at Hendon Magistrates’ Court in London.

She was also ordered not to contact Styles, directly or indirectly, and told not to enter an area of north-west London which was described in the court, a court official said.

She must also pay a victim surcharge of £134.
