Mae nifer o bryderon ynghylch defnyddio’r dechnoleg – yn enwedig sbectolau sydd â chamera ac sy’n gallu recordio fideo. Nid oes gan sbectol Mr O’Connell gamera.
Dywedodd arweinydd y Democratiaid Rhyddfrydol Cymreig, Jane Dodds, nad oes digon o wybodaeth eto am yr hyn y gallai’r sbectol ei wneud, a dywedodd fod angen i ASau gael mynediad cyfartal i’w defnyddio.
“Yr hyn rwy’n galw amdano yw gwaharddiad ar ddefnyddio sbectolau clyfar yn y Senedd nes bod rheolau a rheoliadau ar waith sy’n eu safoni, ac yn sicrhau bod pawb yn gallu cael mynediad atynt – os dyna maen nhw eisiau,” meddai.
Dywedodd llefarydd ar ran Llywydd y Senedd: “Mae technoleg sy’n datblygu’n gyflym, fel sbectolau clyfar, yn cynnig cyfleoedd i wella hygyrchedd a chefnogi ASau yn eu gwaith, ond rydym yn cydnabod eu bod hefyd yn codi pryderon.
“Mae adolygiad o’r defnydd o’r dechnoleg hon yn y Senedd ar y gweill, a byddwn yn cyflwyno’r casgliadau yn fuan.”
