Greens promise council powers to ‘tame’ private rents

The Green Party of England and Wales have kicked off their local election campaign with a demand for more affordable homes.

Speaking in Bristol, co-leader Carla Denyer promised to give councils the power to “tame the private rented sector” and also “end no-fault evictions”.
