Greenisland: Woman and three children held in burglary

A woman and three children have been left “extremely distressed” after four masked men broke into a home in Greenisland in County Antrim.

The aggravated burglary happened in Fortfield Manor at about 20:00 GMT on Saturday.

Four masked men, all dressed in dark clothing, entered through the back door and and ordered them into the living room.

The men then proceeded to search the house, taking with them a quantity of jewellery and cash.

Police said it was a very traumatic experience for the occupants but that there were no reports of any injuries.
