Great white shark boat spotted off Northumberland coast

An artist and ocean enthusiast has combined his skills to create a working, speeding, shark boat.

Fin Bowron is known for his larger-than-life replicas of glass bottled drinks and sculptures donning restaurant entrances country-wide.

He has now combined his artistry with his ocean-faring occupations, which see him out on the North Sea most days.

“It’s for my own pleasure to go out, I just love working with boats and to have something just a bit different, a shark boat in the sea, what a great way to spend the rest of the summer,” said Fin.

A 1970s jet boat forms the frame, which Fin built upon with numerous layers of wood and fibreglass to bring his shark vision to life.
