Graeme McDowell created LIV Golf history on Friday, becoming the first player to hit a second hole-in-one on the tour.

The Northern Ireland golfer aced the par-three second in Singapore to help him to an overall round of 70, leaving him in a tie for 15th place on three under par.

It was a second hole-in-one on consecutive Fridays for McDowell after he achieved the same feat in Hong Kong seven days earlier.

“It cost me a very expensive bottle of wine last week in Hong Kong, and I guess it’s going to cost me another very expensive bottle of wine, which I look forward to,” McDowell told LIV Golf.

Holywood golfer Tom McKibbin featured further back in a tie for 24th on the leaderboard, sitting on one under par. McKibbin shot a one-over round of 72 on Friday.

His Legion XIII team captain Bryson DeChambeau leads the individual standings on 10 under heading into the weekend.
