Glencoe rescue team plans extension after outgrowing base

One of Scotland’s busiest mountain rescue teams is trying to raise £100,000 towards the cost of extending its base.

Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team’s centre was opened in 1999.

An important part of the extension is a new garage to accommodate the team’s vehicles, also trailers, quad bikes and a boat.

Glencoe MRT, external said its transport was currently packed closely together inside the centre, and vehicles had to be “shuffled around” to get them out in an emergency.
