Garvagh: Man in his 70s dies in farm incident

A man in his 70s has died and two other people have been injured following a “farm incident” in County Londonderry, police have said.

Officers said the incident, which was not being treated as suspicious, happened in the Cullyrammer Road area of Garvagh on Thursday .

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it dispatched three emergency crews to the scene and the two injured men were taken to hospital.

One of the men was flown by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast and the other was taken by road to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

Police said officers would provide support to an investigation by the Health and Safety Executive.
