Gardaí at scene of ‘serious ongoing incident’ at apartment complex

Gardaí (Irish police) are currently responding to a “serious ongoing incident” in north Dublin.

It happened in the Grattan Wood apartment complex in Donaghmede, according to Irish broadcaster RTÉ.

The apartment complex has been cordoned off and gardaí and forensic investigators are at the scene.

A large police presence remains at the scene.

The focus of the Garda investigation here in Donaghmede is around a residential apartment block.

The area is now a crime scene.

There is already a strong presence of uniformed Gardaí and detectives in the grounds around the complex.

Forensic teams have also entered the building.

Groups of local people, including many juveniles from the area, are watching the unfolding events from outside the Garda cordon.
