Frustration at US airports as shutdown delays continue

US airline travellers at various airports voiced frustration with the government as flight delays and cancellations due to staffing shortages caused by the government shutdown continue.

The Federal Aviation Administration announced last week that it would begin mandating flight reductions nationwide, citing staffing shortages and operational strain. The FAA says the cutbacks could rise to as much as 10% by 14 November.

US senators on Sunday passed a deal that paves the way for ending the government shutdown.
