Five taken to hospital after four-vehicle M9 crash near Bannockburn

Five people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving four vehicles on the M9 near Bannockburn.

Emergency crews have shut part of the route between junctions nine and 10 following the incident at about 12:00 on Friday.

Roadside recovery vehicles are on the scene to retrieve those damaged in the crash, while the nearby M80 also remains closed northbound.

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed five people had been transported to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, while three others were treated and discharged at the scene.
