Euro 2024: England win over Serbia watched by 15 million peak audience

“The nations came together in huge numbers to follow BBC Sport’s coverage of the first weekend of the men’s Euros,” said director of BBC Sport Alex Kay-Jelski.

“Whether it was the tension of England’s opening win, the fallout of Scotland’s tough start, the exciting performances from Germany and Spain or the heartwarming story of seeing Christian Eriksen score three years on from his collapse on the pitch, it’s great that we can showcase the best sporting storytelling across BBC TV, iPlayer, Radio and Online.”

England’s next game, against Denmark, will be shown on BBC One from 16:00 BST on Thursday, 20 June. Before that, Scotland v Switzerland will be shown on BBC One from 19:25 on Wednesday, 19 June.

Both games will also be available on BBC iPlayer, BBC 5 Live, BBC Sounds and Online.

England are top of Group C after the first round of games and Scotland are bottom of Group A.
