Elliot Daly: England back signs new deal to stay at Saracens until 2028

England and Saracens back Elliot Daly has signed a new contract to stay at the Prem club until the end of the 2027-28 season.

The 33-year-old is set to make his 100th appearance in Saracens’ game against Northampton this weekend, in what is his seventh campaign for the club.

Daly is the latest in a number of Saracens players who have agreed new terms beyond this season in recent weeks, including Wales prop Rhys Carre, wings Noah Caluroi and Rotimi Segun, and flankers Andy Onyeama-Christie, Nathan Michelow and Max Eke.

“His talent and skill are there for everyone to see, but his longevity and consistency stem from his love of the game and his competitive spirit,” said director of rugby Mark McCall.

“We are thrilled he is staying and believe our exciting young group of outside backs will benefit enormously from his experience and rugby IQ.”

Daly reached 79 caps for England during this year’s Six Nations, starting the final two games against Italy and France.

He has also represented the British and Irish Lions on three tours, starting five Test matches, but was ruled out in Australia last summer after fracturing his arm in a warm-up game.

At Saracens he was part of the side that won the 2023 Premiership title and he has has started six games this season.

“Saracens is a club that I love and being surrounded by such a driven group every day is incredibly enjoyable,” Daly said.

“I believe this squad has the ability to grow, and I am very excited to be a part of it.”
