A blaze has broken out at an abandoned hospital building in Edinburgh.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said five appliances were sent to the former Corstorphine Hospital at about 07:40.

The building on Corstorphine Road has been closed since 2014 with the site marked for redevelopment as flats.

Police Scotland said a number of roads in the surrounding area had been closed with residents advised to keep doors and windows shut.
