Edinburgh building evacuated after report of suspicious package

Police Scotland were called out at about 13:00

Roads have been closed and a cordon put in place after police received a report that a suspicious package had been delivered to a commercial premises in Edinburgh.

Police said they had been called out to the property on Princes Street at about 13:00.

They said the building had been evacuated as a precaution and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was also in attendance while the package was examined.

A cordon was put in place with a road closure along Princes Street between South St Andrews Street and North Bridge.
