Dukinfield house gas explosion leaves person hurt

A suspected gas explosion at a house has left one person injured.

Firefighters were called to the blast at the home in Glenmore Grove, Dukinfield, Tameside at about 19:15 BST.

One person was hurt but not seriously, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said.

A spokesman said: “Crews arrived quickly and used two breathing apparatus and a gas monitor to assess the scene.

“One casualty is being treated by North West Ambulance Service for minor injuries.

“Firefighters remain in attendance and are working alongside Cadent Gas to make the area safe.”
