Drug-driving arrest after car crashes into Everton school

Earlier, Dan Sudbury, whose nine-year-old son goes to the school, told BBC Radio Merseyside they heard the crash.

“We heard the bang at half past eight,” he said.

“Ten more minutes and there would have been a lot more kids in there.

“They’ve had a lucky escape.”

Joanne Duxbury, who said her seven-year-old son was also a pupil, told the BBC the car had crashed into a classroom.

“It’s just worrying what could have happened,” she said.

“You think how lucky they have been this morning.”
