Driver charged over 74-year-old cyclist’s death in Angus

A 26-year-old man has been charged over the death of a 74-year-old cyclist who was involved in a crash in Angus.

The woman died in hospital following the collision on the B965 Friockheim to Arbroath road on 16 June last year.

A male cyclist, aged 76, was also involved in the crash – he was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta has now been charged and is due to appear in court at a later date.
