The parcels never turned up to their correct addresses in Warwickshire

Dozens of Evri customers have shared their confusion on social media after their parcels were wrongly delivered to a patch of astro turf in Warwickshire.

Residents in Warwick posted screenshots of the unrecognised location on Facebook when their parcels did not turn up on 14 April, despite receiving delivery confirmation.

One of the customers affected was Molly Rowe who said she was put off using the company when she did not receive her Vinted order bought to cheer herself up.

Evri confirmed that it discovered where her item was delivered to after meeting with the courier but was “unable to retrieve the parcel from the incorrect delivery point”.

It said the parcel was now “deemed to be missing” and had asked Vinted to refund Ms Rowe as soon as possible.

Another customer, Lizzie, who did not receive her parcel either, said she initially thought her items from ASOS were delivered to her own house because she has an astro turf lawn.

However, she was left “confused” when her parcel was not in her garden and began asking neighbours if they had seen it.

“In the evening, I saw {on Facebook} everyone had the same photos and then I understood something odd had gone on,” she said.

Lizzie described her contact with Evri using AI assistants as a “pain” and hoped the company would “take responsibility” for the incident.

‘We apologise for any issues experienced’

Evri said it had contacted all impacted customers and an alternative courier had been assigned to the area, while the previous courier would no longer provide a service for the company.

“Our ambition is that every customer’s experience is a positive one, and we apologise for any issues experienced on this occasion,” it added.

Warwickshire Police said it was not aware of an incident within the restrictions of its search capacity.
