Downpatrick: Motorcyclist in his 50s dies after collision

A motorcyclist in his 50s has died after he was involved in a collision with a car in County Down, police have said.

It happened at about 16:00 BST on the Killyleagh Road in Downpatrick on Sunday.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Insp Cherith Adair said they are keen to hear from two other motorcyclists travelling along the same road around the time of the incident.
