Members of the Prospect union at Dounreay have postponed a strike planned for Wednesday while they consider a new pay offer.
Prospect were due to join the GMB and Unite in the industrial action.
A further day of strike action is planned for Thursday at the former nuclear power complex near Thurso.
The unions had previously rejected a 4.5% offer backdated to April 2023.
