Donemana: Fire at derelict buildings being treated as arson

Police are treating a fire at derelict buildings in Donemana, County Tyrone, as arson.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the fire at three derelict buildings on Longland road at around 05:20 BST on Tuesday.

A police spokeswoman said colleagues at the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) believed the fire “was as a result of deliberate ignition and so the incident is being treated as arson”.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police. Diversions that had been put in place in the area have now been lifted.
