Police in Londonderry are appealing for information after a “hoax pipe bomb-type device” was discovered at a property in the Waterside.
The incident in the Winchester Park area was reported to the police at about 22.50 GMT on Thursday.
Police attended the scene along with Ammunition Tactical Officers (ATO) and cordons were put in place while forensic examinations were carried out.
The police have declared the incident a hoax and are trying to establish a motive.
