Dancing seagulls cause havoc with footprints in wet concrete

Herring gulls have caused havoc for construction workers by walking on wet concrete laid as part of a regeneration project in Norfolk.

Foundation slabs are being laid in the market place in Great Yarmouth ahead of new paving stones being set on the ground.

But workers have told the BBC that gulls have left footprints in each of the three concrete pours – with each needing to be re-skimmed before it sets.

Carl Smith, leader of Great Yarmouth Borough Council, said it was the latest and most minor setback the £11m project has faced.
