County Tyrone: ‘Rural road crash changed my life’

Tom Hadden’s life changed forever when he was involved in serious crash on a rural road in County Tyrone.

Seven years on, he said he still lives with the physical and mental impact of the collision.

The 57-year-old was driving a bin lorry down a country road when another truck collided with his vehicle.

Mr Hadden said his experience showed the importance of keeping alert on rural roads.

“You have to prepare for what’s around every corner.”
