Cork: Man charged in connection with murder

A 40-year-old man who was arrested on Tuesday has been charged with the murder of a woman in Mallow, County Cork.

31-year-old Paula Canty’s body was discovered after gardaí (Irish police) received a call alerting them to an incident on Friday.

It was reported by RTÉ that she had been stabbed in the chest.

The man is due to appear in before Midleton District Court on Thursday 9 January.
