Mae cwest wedi’i agor i farwolaeth dyn 87 oed, ar ôl i’w gorff gael ei ganfod 28 mlynedd wedi iddo fynd ar goll.
Fe glywodd cwest yn Llys y Crwner yn Abertawe ddydd Mawrth bod David Emrys Gear wedi mynd ar goll o gartref gofal yn Abertawe ym mis Mai 1997.
Cafodd ei gorff ei ganfod yn ardal Treforys ar 20 Chwefror 2025 – ddim yn bell o’r man ble aeth ar goll.
Fe gadarnhaodd profion DNA fforensig mai gweddillion Mr Gear oedden nhw.
Clywodd y Crwner Aled Gruffydd nad oedd achos y farwolaeth wedi’i benderfynu eto ac fe estynnodd ei gydymdeimlad â theulu Mr Gear.
Mae’r cwest wedi’i ohirio wrth i’r ymchwiliad barhau.
