A council has promised to fix incorrect road markings at a city centre roundabout.
Colchester was granted city status by Elizabeth II in May 2022.
But last week, a freshly painted road marking was spotted at a junction in Balkerne Hill pointing drivers to the “town centre”.
Essex County Council said the marking would be fixed on Thursday night and a spokesperson added: “This appears to be an unfortunate oversight.”
