Coalisland: Firearms discovered after shooting

In a statement, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said the weapons were uncovered by officers investigating the shooting.

“Detectives have been carrying out numerous searches in the area yesterday and today, and located a number suspected firearms. They have been seized and will be sent for further testing,” Det Insp Ryan said.

A number of imitation firearms were also discovered.

On Tuesday, a 34-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were arrested in relation to the incident and both remain in police custody.

Police have thanked the community for their patience and have further appealed for information.
